Syllabus

Pre-Primary Classes

Specialised non-syllabus, creative classes are held for the pre-school children. Through imagery and creativity, basic motor skills are strengthened and new skills taught. It is hoped all children will gain confidence and self esteem to progress from this stage to syllabus classes.

Ballet

From the age of 5 years, pupils study the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus which has come to represent the very highest standard in the teaching of classical ballet. It is also the most influential examining body for classical ballet in the world.

When the required standard has been achieved, children have the opportunity of taking the Academy’s grades and vocational examinations

Children who are exceptionally gifted and talented may audition for extra classes with the Royal Ballet School outreach programme from the age of nine years. The school is very proud of the fact is has been particularly successful in this programme.
